The journey in brief

From Peru's Pacific desert to the high Andes, this journey crosses landscapes that gave rise to some of the country's most remarkable civilizations. Paracas, the Nazca geoglyphs and Lima introduce the ancient cultures of the coast before the journey continues toward Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. The itinerary favors specialist interpretation, carefully chosen timing and personal encounters over conventional sightseeing.
